Bel Air, MD - The John Carroll School announces that Dr. Barbara (Stauch) Slusher of the class of 1982 will be awarded the Rev. Charles K. Riepe Alumni Award for 2011. Dr. Slusher exemplifies the four outcomes of a John Carroll education: a strong sense of self, excellence in achievement of personal and professional aspirations, a moral compass, and a global perspective. She has excelled in her professional career as a neuroscientist and has been a consistent community leader. Dr. Slusher is the mother of three children, two of whom attend John Carroll. She has incorporated service into her personal and family life, and she remains a committed volunteer and donor to The John Carroll School.
