Alternative Education Graduate Recruited for STEM Summer Program

The Alternative Education Program (Alt. Ed.) recently organized a senior trip for 15 of the program’s seniors to Harford Community College (HCC) for a campus tour, class registration and college placement testing for English and Math. One of Alt. Ed.’s graduates, Javone Wiggins, from Joppatowne High School, scored high enough on the pre-test to qualify for the "Step-Up Summer Program," an invitation-only program for STEM initiative students. Javone is interested in majoring in Engineering and is excited about being recruited by HCC.
