Green Happenings at Harford County Public Schools

Superintendent of Schools Robert M. Tomback and Harford County Executive David Craig announce HCPS energy initiatives at Harford Glen Environmental CenterHarford County Public Schools (HCPS) has a long-standing tradition of environmental stewardship and resource conservation. In 1972, one of the first recycling centers on the east coast was established in this community by an HCPS science teacher and motivated group of volunteers. Since that time, the grassroots efforts have grown deep and strong. Today, we continue to focus on ways to improve our efforts to green our buildings and operations.
