Muslim Writer Discusses Quran and the Nature of Good & Bad

Mohamed MughalA local Muslim author whose first novel includes a courtroom trial of God for crimes against humanity will speak at the Unitarian Universalists of Fallston in Fallston, Maryland from 11am to noon on October 24, 2010.

Mohamed Mughal’s talk, titled “The Good Guys vs. the Bad Guys,” includes readings from the Quran and explores scripture and other literary sources to sample cultural notions of who’s “good” and who’s “bad.” The author provides examples of typical characterizations of “bad guys” using current headlines, the writings of Martin Luther, quotes from Idi Amin, and passages from George Orwell’s novel, 1984.
