Mabel E. Hart is a product of the Harford County Public School system, where she received the foundation of her education before moving on to higher learning institutions. In 1939, she completed her teacher training at State Teachers College, in Bowie, Maryland. She credits her first grade teacher for influencing her to become a teacher. She continued her education by earning her bachelor’s degree from Morgan State University in 1965.
