Bob Six Memorial Joust at Elkridge-Harford Hunt Club

The Amateur Jousting Club of Maryland will present a benefit match on July 9th on the grounds of the Elkridge-Harford Hunt Club to raise funds for the Historical Society of Harford County. The Bob Six Memorial Joust will take place beginning at 11:00 AM in the horse show/polo ring of the hunt club's facility at 3405 Pocock Road Monkton, Maryland 21111 at the corner of the Jarretsville Pike and next to Ladew Gardens. This is a family day and tailgate picnics are encouraged. There is no seating so please bring blankets or lawn chairs. (Please no pets). Read more...

Volunteer Host Families Wanted

Looking for volunteer families in Harford County that would be willing to share their home and hearts for a teenager from another part of the world.

Students live with a volunteer host family for 10 months while attending our local high schools. Host families provide a bed, a bedroom, (sharing a rooom with another teen ok), meals, a little transportation to school and social events, love and guidance. Read more...

Harford Ballet Company Presents Fancy Nancy Extravaganza

Bel Air, MD – The Harford Ballet Company (HBC), resident company of the Dance Conservatory of Maryland, is headlining its spring production with Fancy Nancy Extravaganza. Featuring professional artists as well as local Harford County students, the performances will take place June 11 at 6 p.m. and June 12 at 1 p.m. at Bel Air High School.

Harford County Restaurant Week is June 9-15

Participants could win $1,000 worth of dining

(Bel Air, MD) - - The Harford County Office of Economic Development’s Office of Tourism has announced that the second annual Harford County Restaurant Week will be held from June 9 to 15, 2011.

Participating restaurants throughout Harford County will be offering prix fixe (price fixed) menus consisting of three-course meals for $20.11 (or less), plus tax, beverage, and gratuity. Limited service restaurants or restaurants with a lower price point are offering other special values. Read more...
