HCPS Board and AFSCME Reach Tentative Contract Agreement

The Board of Education of Harford County has reached a five-year tentative contract agreement with the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME).

Harford County Receives Upgrade to AAA Bond Rating

Outlook for county described as stable with strong financial management

(Bel Air, MD) - - Harford County Government has received the highest rating by two of three bond rating agencies for it general obligation (GO) bonds. Fitch Ratings of New York and Moody’s Investors Services of New York each assigned a AAA rating to the County, while Standard & Poor’s assigned a AA+ rating. These independent rating agencies consist of financial and business experts. Their goal is to advise investors on how safe an investment in an organization will be. Bel Air Downtown Alliance Launches Second Sundays & Music on Main

The Bel Air Downtown Alliance Is Pleased To Announce Sunday Afternoons Of Shopping, Dining, And Music In Downtown Bel Air, MD

BEL AIR, MD – On Sunday, June 13 the Bel Air Downtown Alliance will be launching a summer series of Second Sundays with Music on Main. More than 15 unique shops, retail stores, and restaurants will be participating with special store hours on the second Sunday of each month, June through September. As an added bonus, and to set the mood for Downtown exploration, local musicians will be performing in Frederick Ward Park (next to the Bel Air Armory) and in front of the Old Courthouse between Courtland and Office Streets.
