Skipjack Martha Lewis Places 2nd in the 51st Annual Deal Island Race

On Labor Day the Skipjack Martha Lewis joined 11 other skipjacks for the 51st Annual Deal Island Skipjack Race.

At the gun the Martha Lewis was 7th to cross the starting line. As she made her way toward the first mark she began to overtake her competitors. Rounding the second mark she was in 5th place. However, by the third leg of the race it was down to two boats fighting to the finish. Read more...
